  12 Holy spirit is able to mold us in a number of ways. For instance, it can help us to develop a Christlike personality, which is characterized by the fruitage of God’s spirit. (Gal. 5:22, 23) An aspect of that fruitage is love. We love God and want to obey him and be molded by him, recognizing that his commandments are not burdensome. Holy spirit can also give us the strength to resist the molding influence of the world and its bad spirit. (Eph. 2:2) The apostle Paul, who as a young man was deeply influenced by the proud spirit of Jewish religious leaders, could later write: “For all things I have the strength through the one who gives me power.” (Phil. 4:13) So let us, like Paul, keep on asking for holy spirit. Jehovah will not ignore the sincere petitions of the meek.—Ps. 10:17.

  Bethel family : Please join us on January 31,2017 at 8:00 p.m. at our beautiful Warwick Studios where Governing Member Anthony Morris will try out some comedy material before he departs on a comedy tour of the U.S.
  Some of these following jokes will have you in literal stitches :

  They got a lot of kids now whose uniforms are so tight, especially the pants, that they cannot bend over to pick up ground balls. This guy has been sitting in a bar all night, staring at a girl wearing the tightest pants he's ever seen. Finally his curiosity gets the best of him, so he walks over and asks: "How do you get into those pants?". The young woman looks him over and replies: "Well, you could start by buying me a drink...".

  I live in the Midwest... Illinois.The winter months are really bad for me. It starts in November and finally ends in early April. My brain needs sunlight.

  I take a 10 day vacation in the winter in sunny Florida or go on cruises to the Bahama's/Caribbean. This lifts my depression as soon as I land and see the sun. As soon as I get back home it starts up all over again.

  My job is working outdoors from early March to middle of November. Rainy days make make really depressed. As soon as the sun comes out I feel much better.

  With S.A.D,I gain weight in the winter months, have no desire to exert myself to do anything, go to bed earlier, and live in a fog until April comes around.

  There are Light therapy boxes you can use but have never tried one. The only solution is to move to a location that has sunny days and no snow.

  Elder Jeff : '' Well Sarah is 34 and she's been pioneering for eight years so she's not old by any means and eight years as a pioneer ..it's not an exceptionally long time.''

  
  

  In Jehovah's Watchtower Land, Sarah is not carrying her weight. She's trying but seems a little tired out. She's not meeting the high standards that are required for the title of ''Pioneer.'' We can show her scriptures on other men of the Bible couldn't carry their weight any longer. Sarah did pioneer for ''only'' eight years and that isn't breaking any records. She's only spent 6400 hours as a Pioneer in the last 8 years and now that she spends only 600 hours per year, we need to inform her that the title ''Pioneer'' needs to be pulled.

  My question is: Why does anyone pioneer? How did 80 hours a month in service make you a better Jehovah's Witness than if you did 10 hours a month of field? They leave their home and they’re jogging in this stuff … is that appropriate? To wear skin-tight spanx, or whatever they call it? It’s not modest … It’s really not appropriate….

  “For these young fellas … it’s the metrosexual look … Metrosexual — that’s the tight suit jacket and the tight pants … and they are tight, I mean tight, all the way down to the ankles and that is not modest, brothers …

  Why did the Governing Body come behind the curtain?

  in the movie the wizard of oz, while the whole yellow brick road gang was being addressed by the great and powerful wizard of oz, the dog toto ran off to the side, pulled back on a curtain, and showed that a normal-looking humbug of a person was operating cranks and levers.

  for a short while, the normal-looking man kept yanking levers and cranking cranks, and said into the microphone (which made the great and powerful wizard speak the same words) "pay no attention to that man behind the curtain!
